WHO WE ARE

Al-Buraaq Youth Foundation (ABYF) was established in 2011 to provide the youth based around the Sri Lankan Muslim Cultural Centre with an Islamic atmosphere where they can form bonds of brotherhood with their peers, develop key social life skills and become the torchbearers of Islamic work in the UK.
Since the inception of ABYF, it has now blossomed to over 50 members. The members of ABYF are students aged 16+ who have studied in Al-Falah Educational Centre.

ABYF aspires to revitalise the spirit of Islam in the youth in the most inclusive way. By the divine help of Allah (swt) ABYF has consistently and successfully held events on a weekly basis open to its members in an organised and professional manner in state of the art venues because of our hard work ethic and our motto of ‘strength through unity’.
ABYF has the utmost determination and capability to help elevate the youngsters in Deen and Dunya since the organisation is run by the youth; from their perspective to provide them a sense of belonging and importance whilst being guided by professionals and scholars in our local community. By achieving our objectives step by step we hope to attain our long term goal, which is to produce a successful new generation in this community.
